08/13/15  If You Feed A Stray Dog or Cat, It's Yours

Did you know state law says, if you feed a dog one day, it's your dog?  That's one of the things people attending the Bearden City Council learned this past Monday night in a presentation made by Hodges Stewart, treasurer of the Arkansas State Animal Control Association, headquartered in Lavaca. Stewart talked about what Bearden's Animal Control officer will learn during the schooling he's going to be undergoing. Stewart commented on the animal control facilities Bearden has at present.

Stewart also talked about the need for a volunteer group to help in animal control. A meeting for volunteers, an all day class will be held at Conway September 17.
