08/12/15  Bearden To Get Grant For New Sewer Project

A-L Franks, representing the engineering firm out of Texarkana that's doing the sewer project for the city of Bearden, had some good news to report to the Bearden city council Monday night.

The city's portion of the project will be about  $1,600,000.00.  It will be necessary for the city to raise the sewer rates, the exact amount hasn't been determined but according to what Franks told the councilmen, it would probably be more than ten dollars a month.
