Charles Green Thornton of Banks, a native of Bradley County, died Saturday at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello at the age of 78.

 Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two at Saline Baptist Church with burial in Saline Cemetery.  Visitation at one o'clock until time of services at Saline Baptist Church.

Memorials made be made to the Bradley County Veteran's Museum in Warren. Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren in charge of arrangements.
