08/06/15  Triple Fatality In Jefferson County

Three people died and three were injured in a head-on crash early yesterday morning on I-530 in Jefferson County near mile marker 45.

According to a state police report , a car driven by 27 year old Jerrica Pruitt of Wisner, Louisiana was southbound on I-530 when it collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 54 year old Marty Cathey of Pine Bluff, who was headed north in the southbound lanes.

Killed in the crash were 32 year old William Willhite of Griffithville, 27 year old Julia Willhite of Griffithville and an unidentified juvenile, all  passenger's in the Pruitt car.

Injured in the crash were the drivers of both vehicles, Jerrica Pruit, Marty Cathey and a juvenile in the Pruitt car. The injured were taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Weather conditions were clear, road conditions dry at the time of the crash at 2:09am yesterday morning.
