08/04/15  Hope Resident And Hot Springs Man Killed In Seperate One Vehicle Accidents

 

A Hope resident was killed in a one vehicle mishap in Hempstead County on Saturday.  According to a state police report, Ansoncion Hernandez, reportedly in his 50's was a passenger in a Ford truck northbound on county road  three. The report states the vehicle left the road and overturned.  Hernandez was ejected from the truck and died of his injuries at a Hope hospital.  The driver of the truck was not identified in the report by state trooper Travis Hale. Weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the accident at 10:25 Saturday morning.

Saturday afternoon, a Hot Springs man, 75 year old William Staton died in a two car collision on U-S Highway 70 near Kacey Lane.  Three other people were injured, 75 year old Mary Staton and an unidentified child in the Staton vehicle, and the driver of the other vehicle..25 year old Breanna R. Talbert of Conway. The State Police report stated that Talbert was traveling west and veered over the double yellow lines, striking the east bound Staton vehicle.  After impact.. Talbert's 2006 Jeep overturned on its right side.  The Staton vehicle, a 2005 Toyota 4-Runner was pushed backward up onto the guard rail. The injured were transported to Childrens Hospital, UAMS and Saline Memorial. The weather conditions were clear and roadway dry at the time of the crash Saturday evening at 5:57pm.
