07/27/15  Three Held In Texas on Conway Killings

Police in Texas were holding three Arkansas teenagers on Friday for questioning about the shooting deaths of a Conway couple, a case in which a 14 year old boy, who lived with the couple, has already been arrested and is being held. Jason Staton has been jailed since Wednesday, shortly after the bodies of Robert and Patricia Cogdell were found outside their home on Conway's west side.  On Friday a judge found probable cause for Staton to be held without bail. He has not been formally charged in the deaths.

The Ark Demo-Gazette reports the three teenagers, in custody on misdemeanor charges in Graham, Texas, were identified as Hunter John Drexler, Conner Hunter and Anastasia Rose Roberts.  Two of the teens had suffered gunshot wounds that were not life threatening, one of which was in the chest. The misdemeanor charges were filed after a couple of knives, some marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in their vehicle.

Graham police stopped the vehicle the three were driving after a bulletin was issued to be looking for the vehicle because it had been involved in a kidnapping out of Arkansas. The Cogdell's had been Staton's legal guardian since 2010.
