07/23/15  Two In Camden Charged in June 4 Robbery in Stephens

Twenty year old Shaumbre DeShaun Jones and twenty-three-year old Cortez Powell of Camden have been charged in a robbery at Day and Nite convenience store in Stephens on June 4.  Deputy prosecuting attorney Phillip Stone filed charges of aggravated assault and aggravated robbery and a felon in possession of a firearm against Jones and aggravated assault and aggravated robbery against Powell. 

The two were Identified from a store video and Jones confessed to investigators that he and Powell had committed the robbery.  Court records indicate that Jones was on probation for 2^nd degree sexual assault that he was charged with in June of last year.  The charges were filed in circuit court in Camden.
