07/22/15  Hot Springs Man Hit With 8 Felony Drug Charges In Ouachita County

 

A 38 year old Hot Springs man was charged on June 3, with 8 felony drug charges following his arrest by Ouachita County Deputies and State Police investigators.  The charges were filed in Ouachita County Circuit Court in Camden by Deputy Prosecutor R. Jeffrey Sawyer against Charles Wesley Roy Jr. The charges included simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth or cocaine, two charges of possession of a controlled substance and four charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

In an interview with investigators Roy said he had been using and selling meth off and on since he was 17 years old.  He stated that he started using again in March and would smoke or snort meth every day.  A handgun found in Roy's possession he said he obtained through a meth buy along with 50 dollars.
