07/22/15  Dallas County Quorum Court July Meeting

The Dallas County Quorum Court met last night at the Dallas County Quorum Court meeting room. New business on the agenda was voting to re-appoint Equalization Board members and board members of the Dallas County Medical Center.

Roy Johnson of Fordyce, Danny White of Sparkman, Karl Hansen and Rupert Rogers, both of Fordyce were re-appointed to the Equalization Board.  Kathryn Harris resigned from the  board due to health reasons, her husband Bob Harris will replace her on the board.

Hazel Hart, who has served as vice chairman of the Dallas County Medical Center was re-appointed last night by a unanimous vote of the Quorum Court.She was the only member of the board up for re-appointment. Hart's appointment is for 7 more years.

The board has the task of looking for a new administrator of the Dallas County Medical Center with the announcement recently by current administrator, John Tucker of his resignation and move to Colorado. In other business at the Quorum Court meeting last night, the JP's approved a request by Judge Jimmy Jones to apply for a 25 hundred dollar GIF Community Enhancement Grant for the purchase of a historical marker.
