James Monroe “Jim” Gardner of Hermitage died Monday at his home, he was 68. He served as a Bradley County Sheriff's deputy, EMT and paramedic.  He also served as a bailiff at local and district court levels. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday at First Assembly of God Church with burial in McFarland Cemetery.  Visitation is this evening from 6-8pm at Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.
