07/08/15  Dallas County Community Garden First Pickens Lunch

The “First Pickens Lunch” held June 19,  was a big success according to Donna Ferguson, chairman of Dallas County Alliance Supporting Health. The "First Pickens Lunch" is sponsored by the Dallas County Alliance Supporting Health, better know as DASH, the Farmers Market  Committee, Dallas County Extension Service and Sesame GFWC.  According to Donna Ferguson, 108 plates of fresh veggies from the community garden were sold and the group raised 551 dollars. The money is used to support the community garden and farmers market.
