07/07/15  Ouachita County Quorum Court Discusses Moving To New Location

The Ouachita County Quorum Court meets this evening at 7pm at the quorum court meeting room on the second floor of the courthouse. In unfinished business for tonight's meeting is further discussion of moving the District Court to the Detention Center location, the JP's will discuss jail expansion and courthouse roof repair.

There are five appropriations ordinances to be considered, an ordinances to appropriate fund from county general to the circuit clerk's budget for computer software, an ordinance to appropriate funds from the 833 fund to the Standard Umstead and Upper White Oak Fire Departments for contract labor...an ordinance to appropriate money in the highway fund for machinery and equipment for the highway department.  The JP's will be asked to enact an ordinance appropriating 74 thousand dollars for vehicles and construction in progress for the jail.  And the last item of business will be an ordinance that would increase the Library Fund by 30 thousand dollars.
