07/07/15  Criminal Charges In Ouachita County Circuit Court

A 35 year old Camden man has been charged in circuit court in Camden with false imprisonment, aggravated assault, interference with emergency communications and 3rd degree domestic battery.  The charges were filed on April 26th by Deputy Prosecutor Phillip A. Stone against Ira Trafton Juniel.  According to a police report, the victim stated Juniel, her ex-boyfriend, asked her if he could come and shower at her place.  She gave him permission and then wouldn't leave.  The two argued and Juniel strangled her, puncher her in the face and burned her with an iron.  He took away her phone so she couldn't call for help.  The victim stated she finally got away when Juniel fell asleep.  The incident started at 10pm and she wasn't able to get away to seek assistance until the following morning at 5.

45 year old Tommy Lee Radford of Camden has been charged with two counts of threatening a judicial officer and first degree terroristic threatening. The charges stem from an incident that occurred following Radford's court appearance in Circuit Judge Keaton's courtroom on February 2 According to a report made by Camden Police Sgt Ben Opelt, Radford got upset when Opelt asked the judge for a secured bond for Radford instead of a signature bond.  Radford was appearing on a charge of failure to comply as a registered offender. Opel stated in the report that as he and domestic violence advocate Barbara Quarles left the courthouse with Radford threatened the judge, Opelt and Quarles and made obscene comments and threats on their lives. The prosecutor is seeking additional time for Radford due to previous felony convictions.
