07/02/15   Law Enforcement Searching For Drunk Drivers This Weekend

The crackdown on drunk driving this Independence Day weekend involves state, city and county law enforcement, devoting additional patrol hours through Sunday.  Their target will be the drivers who are impaired and endangering the lives of others traveling Arkansas roadways.

State Police Col. Bill Bryant says for everyone's sake, don't drink and drive. The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign means zero tolerance for drunk driving, no excuses. Driving impaired can lead to other serious consequences.  Even if no one is killed or hurt, a DWI arrest can lead to jail time, driver license suspension, costly legal expenses, court fines and higher driver insurance rates. If you happen to see a drunk driver on the road, call 911.
