06/25/15   Charges Filed In Ouachita County Circuit Court

 

Deputy Prosecuting Attorney R. Jeffrey Sawyer, in Circuit Court in Camden has filed several felony drug charges against 26 year old Jonathan C. Reynolds of Camden.  The charges are the result of a traffic stop by a State Trooper on May 17, and the help of a K-9 from the Ouachita County Sheriff's office.  As a result of the search, Sawyer charged Reynolds with possession of meth or cocaine, three charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and two charges of possession of a controlled substance.

 In Circuit court in Camden on June 17, 44 year old Michael Wayne Dorris of Camden was charged by deputy prosecutor Sawyer with a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing on foot and resisting arrest.  Due to his past criminal record, Sawyer will ask the judge for more jail time for Dorris under the habitual criminal statute.  The charges stem from an incident that occurred at a Camden residence on May 19.

Also on June 17, Deputy prosecutor Sawyer filed several drug related felony charges against 46 year old Todd Dewayne Gibbs of Camden. The charges are the result of incidents that occurred between March 7 and May 7.  Gibbs is being charged with three counts of delivery of meth or cocaine, three counts of using a cell phone during the course of a drug deal.. three counts of offenses relating to keeping records and maintaining a drug residence where drug trafficking took place, and selling in a drug free zone. He was charged with one count of possession of meth or cocaine and Sawyer's seeking additional jail time for selling drugs within a thousand yards of a church.
