06/22/15  Bearden District Court

 

In District Court in Bearden on June 18, Jack Lamb of Bearden appeared before Judge Dan Ives on charges of speeding 65 in a 35 mph zone, careless driving, public intoxication, fleeing and driving an ATV on a public roadway.  Lamb paid $240.00 in fines the day of court and agreed to pay the balance of his fines by July 2.

Also in district court, Lindsey Bennett of Camden was cited on May 23rd for driving on a suspended license, no license and failure to wear a seat belt.  She was fined a total of 550 dollars by Judge Ives, but didn't appear in court.  A one thousand dollar cash bond was set for her.

On May 2, 28 year old Billy Jenkins of Bearden was cited by Deputy Marshall Floyd for driving on a suspended license and not having insurance.  The judge fined Jenkins $250.00 on the suspended license violation and 400 dollars for not having insurance.  Jenkins didn't show up for court either..

On May 15, Jerold Morris of Fordyce was cited by Deputy Marshall Floyd or driving on a suspended license, not displaying a vehicle tag and no insurance.  Judge Ives fined Morris $250.00 for driving on a suspended license, $150.00 for failure to display vehicle tags and $400.00 for not having insurance.  Morris was ordered to pay $200.00 in 7 days with the remainder at $75.00 a week until paid.

Savannah Hargis of Bearden didn't show up in court on a contempt of court charge.  The Judge levied $654.00 in fines and fees  against Hargis, who has $320.00 dollars in old fines.

Vicky Hasty of Monticello failed to appear in court on a theft of property charge stemming from last year when Hasty is alleged to have taken a cat belonging to Paula Bounds and taking it to a shelter claiming the owner abandoned it.

Eric Rainey of Fordyce on May 30,  was cited by Bearden City Marshall John Ainsworth with criminal trespass.  His case was reset for July 16. On May 25, Stephanie Evans of Bearden was cited by Marshall Ainsworth with contempt of court.  She was ordered by Judge Ives to pay a total of  $528.00 in fines and fees, including $203.00 in old fines.
