06/18/15  Bearden's Got Talent And Other Gazebo Festival Fun

Bearden's Got Talent contest will kick off at 6pm tonight at the Bearden School auditorium, the first event of the 29^th annual Gazebo Festival that  is scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Bearden.  The talent contest will feature three age divisions..5 thru 12..13 thru 17 and 18 and up.  There will be first and second place winners in each division and one overall winner and one overall people's choice winner. Cleo Beard was a guest yesterday on the Bearden Brunch Bunch broadcast and talked about the parade scheduled for tomorrow evening at 5:30..  

Cleo is in charge of the car show which is scheduled for Saturday morning with registration getting underway at 9am..

Other events on Saturday include the 3^rd annual rib cook-off beginning at 8:30 with the winners announced about 2:30 in the afternoon.  Another fun event is the 4^th annual Baggo tournament, it's double elimination, entry fee is 30 dollars a team. There are still booths available for vendors for 35 dollars.  Contact Melissa Faucett at 870-833-1843. Lots of entertainment, Telematic on Friday night from 6:30-7:30..the street dance featuring No Excuses begins Friday night at 7:45. On Saturday the entertainment begins on the Gazebo stage at 11am and runs throughout the day, headlined by the Zac Dunlap band at 7:30.  Many other entertainers will be featured including local favorite Shanna Dorey and Company at 3pm Saturday.  Mayor Russell Davis will announce the winner of the Bearden Flag contest at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. The finale, like every year is the fireworks show at 9:45 Saturday night.
