06/17/15  Domestic Battery, Aggravated Assault And Drugs Manifest As Charges In Ouachita County

 

A 21 year old Camden man has been charged in Circuit Court in Camden with 3rd degree domestic battery of a pregnant woman, aggravated assault on a family member and interference with emergency communication. On April 29th, Camden police responded to a domestic disturbance call at a Camden residence where the victim told them that Dominique Morgan and her had gotten into an argument, she said Morgan threw her to the ground in front of her kids and put his knee to her throat until she nearly passed out and then strangled her until she nearly passed out.  The victim stated she was able to get away from Morgan and go to a neighbor's house to use a phone, the neighbor refused.  She finally got to another residence and was able to call police.  The victim told police she is 8 weeks pregnant.

Deputy prosecuting attorney Phillip A. Stone has filed 5 counts of delivery of meth or cocaine, five counts of the use of a cell phone to sell drugs and four counts of selling drugs from a publicly funded housing development, in Circuit Court in Camden, against 30 year old Cody Damone Stevens of Camden.  The charges were the result of various drug buys by undercover agents
