06/17/15  Forgery, Theft and Burglary Head Up The Latest Filings In Dallas County Circuit Court

In Dallas County Circuit Court, charges of 2nd degree forgery and theft of property have been filed by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Tom Wynne against  a 38 year old Eldorado woman.  Jessica Manning Cook has been charged in the theft of a vehicle belonging to Sherri Bowen.  The theft took place in May while Bowen was incarcerated at the Hawkins Unit of the Department of Corrections.  Cook faked Bowen's signature on the title of Bowen's car.  When told about the incident Bowen said she never gave anyone permission to have her car and hadn't ever heard of Jessica Cook. Cook's prior record includes two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a counterfeit substance without a prescription.

In another case in Dallas County Circuit Court, Wynne filed charges of commercial burglary against 18 year old DeAngelo Dunn of Fordyce for the Hurry Back break-in on May 8th.  Dunn has a past record that includes two counts of residential burglary and the theft of firearms. He was given a 60 month probation for those crimes and was on probation at the time of the Hurry Back break-in.
