06/09/15  Bearden Council Votes to Repair Sewer

The big story out of the Bearden City Council meeting last night was the unanimous vote by the council in favor of approving repair of the sewer lines in town and updating the pump station.  Engineer for the project, A-L  Franks of Texarkana was present at the meeting and explained to the council that the funding for the project would be broken down into four phases.

Franks also got council approval to fund a smaller sewer project in Bearden.

Franks said due to all the red tape and paperwork that has to be done, the project probably won't get underway for a year.
