06/03/15  SAU Receives $1,645,000 to Build a Training Center

The 87 point one million dollar bond issue that Governor Hutchison signed Friday for Lockheed Martin includes a one million 645 thousand dollar grant for S-A-U Tech to build a training center for workers so they  would know how to build the new vehicles that will be constructed at the facility at Lockheed Martin, before setting foot on the factory floor. S-A-U Tech's chancellor, Corbett Lamkin said the sole use of the training center would be for training, and he said, given the ramp-up time in this project, we certainly have enough time to train a credible workforce.
