06/02/15  An Area of Dallas County  Received 5 to 8 Inches of Rain Friday and Saturday Nights.

There was an area of Dallas County that received 5 to 8 inches of rain Friday and Saturday nights.  Dallas County Judge Jimmy Jones  said the area hardest hit was north of the highway 128-highway 9 split at Holly Springs.

Jones says as a result of the flooding in the area, two roads had to be closed but were opened back up yesterday.

Jones toured the affected area Sunday and said it was frustrating not be able to get equipment into the affected area and fix the damage right away.
