06/01/15   Former Employee of Metal Mart in Pine Bluff Charged With Theft of Property

 

A former employee of Metal Mart, located on 65-south at Pine Bluff has been charged in Circuit Court in Jefferson County with theft of property. Prosecutor Kyle Hunter filed charges on May 20 against 58 year old William Goodman of Pine Bluff. According to the information in the file Goodman is alleged to have taken a computer, camera lens and other electronic equipment valued at over five thousand dollars.

40 year old Raymond Ray Nelson Jr. of Pine Bluff has been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated residential burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon, aggravated assault on family member and theft of property. According to a police report filed by Detective Steven Rucker.  Nelson is alleged to have broken into Kerie Nelson's apartment and waited for her to come home, and came out of the bedroom with a gun in his hand. He reportedly took her to the ground and she sprayed him with mace, they struggled over the gun and the mace took effect. Nelson then grabbed Keri Nelson's purse and cell phone and fled. A criminal history check revealed Nelson had a prior felony conviction of second degree forgery and felon in possession of a firearm.  The charges were filed against Nelson by the prosecutor's office on May 26.
