04/07/15 Weaver Obituary

The oldest woman in the world, Gertrude Weaver, who resided at Silver Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Camden, unexpectedly passed away yesterday, April 5, from pneumonia complications. Weaver became the oldest known woman in the world after a woman in Japan died recently.  Mrs. Weaver was born and raised in the Camden area, and passed away at the age of 116.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at 2:00pm at Greater St. Paul Church in Camden. Williams Funeral Home of Camden in charge of arrangements.
