The gift Arkansas 529 college investing plan is launching a statewide tour to heighten public awareness regarding the official college savings plan of Arkansas. Beth Anne Rankin, director of the program, was a guest last week on TTO and said the 529 college investing plan is not new.

Residents18 years of age and older in all 75 counties will have a chance to win 529 dollars to be deposited in that person's section 529 gift plan account, with one winner being chosen in each county. Citizens may register either online at www.arkansas529.org, or by entry forms available at the County Treasurer's office. Register anytime between now and July 31. One winner from each county will be chosen in a drawing to be held at the State Treasurer's office on Monday, August 10.
