04/06/15 The Arkansas Homestead Conference

 

The Arkansas Homestead Conference is scheduled for this Saturday, April 11, at Pioneer Village in Rison. Britt Talent, conference organizer, was a guest on TTO this past week to talk about it. He explained how the conference will be set up this year. The gates to the conference open at 8:00am and the first session begins at 9:00a.m.

Talent said one of the guest speakers will be Gary “Pa Mac” McWilliams. McWilliams will also talk about gardening by moon phase. Mr. Tomato Man, John Gavin of Bradley County, will be on hand as well to talk about raising tomatoes. There will be many more speakers, demonstrations, youth activities, and more. Admission is five dollars for adults, three dollars for youth 7 to 17 years of age.
