Major Lafayette Woods Jr. of the Jefferson County Sheriff's office was recently a guest on KQ-102's South Arkansas Sunrise. He talked about the drug take back program. The program has proven to be very successful in Jefferson County and counties across the state. Woods was asked how the program came about.

Woods said last year in Jefferson County 132 pounds of prescription drugs were collected in the program. Don't keep outdated prescription drugs around the house. You can use the drop-off box at the Sheriff's office.
