04/29/15  Learning Farms Come to Ouachita County

The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture in cooperation with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and local conservation Districts is developing a program called “learning farms” designed to assist specialty crop growers by providing educational opportunities on-site assistance, and in some cases, expertise and resources to help farmers in this region increase productivity, enhance profitability and expand to new crops. Ouachita county extension agent Keri Welch explains.

There will be a listening session at the Ouachita County Extension Office in Camden at 2760 Mount Holly road on April 30 at 5pm.  A light supper will be provided. For more information call Keri  at 231-1160.
