04/29/15  Governor Hutchinson's Council on Common Core Will Be In El Dorado Friday

Governor Hutchinson's Council on Common Core Review, a 16-member group appointed by the Governor and chaired by Lt. Governor Tim Griffin, will be at the Eldorado Conference Center at South Arkansas Community College on West Avenue from 5-7pm Friday night April 30. Griffin says over eight weeks the council will travel to nine cities and spend about 60 hours listening and learning about this very important issue. Common Core State Standards, used in Arkansas and more than 40 other states as the basis of public school math and English language arts instruction will be the topic of the “listening tour stops” around the state.
