04/24/15   Weather Related Schedule Changes at the Cotton Belt Festival

It's day four of the Fordyce on the Cotton Belt Festival and some weather related changes have been made as far as the entertainment venue is concerned. Festival entertainment coordinator Richard Ledbetter announced that the evenings free musical entertainment that was going to be held on the main stage at Dallas County Courthouse Lawn, has been moved to the Civic Center on the 167/79 bypass. Ledbetter said since the Rebug Reunion Rally was already being held there, it would be a great place to continue with the nights entertainment schedule based on the rainy forecast. The Civic Center provides plenty of seating and a dry shelter should it continue to rain. The Redbug Reunion Rally, which is a  paid for event, ends at 7pm. The free entertainment will pick up from there and continue the rest of the evening.. Downtown, the model train display will be going on at Main Street and the arts and crafts show and sale will be at Temple Baptist Church. Festival head, Joe Bill Meador, talked about  the Redbug Reunion Rally that will be going on from 5pm until 7pm. Meador told us about some folks that will honored.
This afternoon at 1pm a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the Dallas County Hall of Fame downtown.  Tonight on the stage at the Civic Center from 7-9pm, Deja Blues of Camden will be featured.
