03/23/15 Chamber Banquet

The Fordyce Chamber meeting and banquet was held last Thursday at the Fordyce High School cafeteria. The boss of the year, farm family, home town heroes, and educator were announced. Chamber President Donna Ferguson told those in attendance that there had been substantial growth in Fordyce in the past year.

There were three hometown heroes recognized at the banquet for their service to the community. Dr. Hugh Nutt was recognized, along with Captain Cody Culp for the sacrifices he had made for his country in the war in Afghanistan. The third hometown hero was Buster Garlington.

The boss of the year was Matt Wiltshire, CEO of Millcreek.  The educator recognized was Tena Tremmell, and the farm family of the year was Gilbert and Beverly Hawthorne of Manning.
