03/16/15 Museum Grant

The Dallas County Museum will be receiving a 1,400 dollar grant for the 151st anniversary re-enactment of the Battle of Marks' Mill coming up in May in Fordyce. The project is one of nine receiving grants totalling 14,565 dollars from the Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

On an earlier T-T-O broadcast, Civil War re-enactor, Bill Farmer of Bearden said there are several re-enactments in Arkansas every year, but the re-enactment coming up in May will be the largest re-enactment to ever be held in South Arkansas.
