03/12/15 Criminal Filings in Camden

 

Several criminal filings have been made in Circuit Court in Camden by prosecutors from the 13th Judicial District. On March 4, Deputy Prosecutor Phillip A. Stone filed charges against 43 year old Calvin Williams of Camden. According to a police report, on December 8, Williams was charged with delivery of meth or cocaine, illegal use of a cell phone in the commission of a drug crime, and selling drugs within one thousand feet of a school bus stop.

On March 5, Deputy Prosecutor R. Jeffrey Sawyer filed criminal charges against 38 year old Keith Rainey of Pine Bluff. According to a police report on November 23, Rainey is alleged to have taken merchandise from Brookshire's, ran from police, and threatened an officer. Sawyer charged him with aggravated robbery, terroristic threatening, theft of property, and fleeing on foot. Rainey later admitted his guilt to police.

On March 6, Sawyer filed several felony charges against 20 year old Dariett Clark of Camden. On January 25, police filed charges of possession of a controlled substance with the purpose of delivery, simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of the omnibus D-W-I Act, against Clark.

Sawyer filed charges of residential burglary and theft of property against 31 year old Jerome Tate of Camden. Sawyer will seek to have additional jail time added to Tate's sentence under the habitual criminal statute.

Two other felony charges were filed against two other Camden men on March 6 by Deputy Prosecutor Sawyer. 51 year old Bruce Hamilton of Camden was charged with breaking and entering, and theft of property for an incident that occurred on January 28.

Twenty year old Keontay Purifoy of Camden was charged with terroristic threatening for an incident that occurred on May 3 of last year.
